We're all enjoying Summer, but remember that back to school is just around the corner!

Going back to school can be an expensive time for parents and to support the younger members of our community we are accepting donations of stationery items.

We think it’s really important to donate items so kids can have everything they need to learn - especially in the current cost-of-living crisis.

According to the Child Poverty Action Group, “Three-quarters (76%) of secondary school staff say more pupils don’t have all the equipment they need for lessons.”

So get involved and donate any spare stationery you may have.

Donation ideas:

  • Pencils
  • Biro’s
  • Highlighters
  • Colouring Pencils
  • Colouring Pens
  • Rulers
  • Erasers
  • Pencil Cases
  • Calculators
  • Maths Sets
  • Notepads

What will we do with the items?

All items will be made into stationery packs. Our staff and residents will get involved in creating these packs. We will pass these out to local schools and support groups so that students can use them this new academic year.

How can I donate?

Donations can be dropped off at the Marketing Suite at Almond Valley Care Home on the 7, 8 and 9 August between 9 am and 3 pm.
