A Warm Welcome for Our First Resident, Mick

At Almond Valley Care Home, we couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate a very special milestone – welcoming our very first resident, Mick! It’s been the day we’ve all been looking forward to, and we’re so proud to have Mick and his family be part of this exciting moment.

Mick was the first to enquire and visit our home, so it felt only fitting to give him a welcome he would never forget. To mark the occasion, we arranged a traditional bagpiper to greet him and his family as they arrived, filling the air with the sounds of Scotland and setting the tone for what was a truly memorable day. The smile on Mick’s face as he stepped through our doors said it all – he felt at home straight away.

Throughout the day, Mick and his family spent time with our team, exploring our beautiful home, and getting settled into his new surroundings. Mick and his family enjoyed the warm, welcoming atmosphere and chatted with our friendly staff about the activities Mick enjoys. His family was equally delighted, knowing that Mick was in a place where he will be cared for with the utmost attention and compassion.

We couldn’t be prouder of our home and the sense of community that is already growing here. Welcoming Mick is just the beginning of what we know will be a wonderful journey filled with new friendships, laughter, and cherished memories. This is an exciting chapter for all of us at Almond Valley, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who made this moment possible.
